Lego Minifigures Disney Series 2 Checklist and Rarity guide.

A nice mix of characters spread out throught the Disneyverse.  The only rare characters in the set are the Huey, Dewey, and Louie minifigures falling just 2 per box, and that means each box of minifigures will only yield 2 complete sets.  At least that's what I've found on the interwebs.

1. Steamboat Willie - Mickey Mouse (4 per box)
2. Steamboat Willie - Minnie Mouse (4 per box)
3. Huey (2 per box)
4. Dewey (2 per box)
5. Louie (2 per box)
6. Scrooge McDuck (4 per box)
7. Chip (4 per box)
8. Dale (4 per box)
9. Elsa (4 per box)
10. Anna (4 per box)
11. Jafar (3 per box)
12. Jasmine (3 per box)
13. Hades (4 per box)
14. Hercules (3 per box)
15. Sally (3 per box)
16. Jack Skellington (3 per box)

Minifigure Spotlight - Lego Minifigure Disney Malificent

The Disney Minifigure set offers a great selection of minifigures throughout the Disney universe.  One of my favorites was Malificent.  With the new Disney Castle there is hope there might be a whole Disney line eventually, but I'm sure there will be a series 2 for these minifigures.

Malificent should be fairly easy to find since it's the only minifigure with a wedge base and the horns and staff are easy to find.  This minifigure falls in to the uncommon or 3 per box catagory.  I do love the way the cape looks and the overall whole feel of the minifigure is pretty complete.

Minifigure Spotlight Disney's Buzz Lightyear

Out of all the Disney minifigures this is the one I wanted the most.  Oddly enough it was one of the toughest for me to find.  But Buzz is easy to pick out of a box with the backpack and wings being all one piece. To infinity and beyond!!

Lego Minifigures Disney Series Rarity Guide.

It's interesting that Lego has decided to add two figures to the set list with this series.  I wonder if they'll carry this over to the next set?

Anyway, 18 figures to collect, from what I can find there are only two rarities in this set.  Some figures are more common being found 4 per box, but the majority of figures are 3 per box.  Meaning you still get 3 full sets per box.

So I'll use common for the 4 per and uncommon for the 3 per.  Looking over the figures most should be easy to feel for in their packaging, with Buzz and Ariel being the two that should stick out like sore thumbs.

1. Stitch - Common
2. Toy Story Alien - Common
3. Buzz Lightyear - Uncommon
4. Aladdin - Uncommon
5. Genie - Common
6. Maleficent - Uncommon
7. Alice - Uncommon
8. Cheshire Cat - Uncommon
9. Daisy Duck - Uncommon
10. Donald Duck - Uncommon
11. Minnie Mouse - Uncommon
12. Mickey Mouse - Common
13. Mr. Incredible - Common
14. Syndrome - Common
15. Peter Pan - Uncommon
16. Captain Hook - Uncommon
17. Ursula - Uncommon
18. Ariel - Uncommon

Lego Minifigures Series 15 Rarity Guide

With Series 15 being live here is the box break down.

As always the terms I use are my own for the sake of denoting the number of figures that come in each box.  You can expect 3 full sets per box.  All the names I used are from Lego's website.

Rare = 3

Like always if your adept at feeling for figures you should have no problem picking most of these out of blind packs.

1. Farmer - Rare
2: Astronaut - Uncommon
3. Frightening Knight - Uncommon
4. Clumsy Guy - Common
5. Tribal Woman - Rare
6. Flying Warrior - Uncommon

Minifigure Spotlight Series 13 Alien

Lego has had a couple Alien/Space themes.  The last one Galaxy Squad had an alien menace that was more insect.  Alien Conquest had a more little green man theme to it. I'm not sure where this alien fits in, but he's got a great head sculpt and some really printing on both the torso and legs.

I also really like the florescent disc on the gun.  When it's in the sunlight it really looks like it's glowing.

Rise of the Micro-Minifigures

It only seems fair after reviewing some Kre-O' microfigures we look at Legos.

Lego's Micro Minifigures are not new. Lego has been using them for their board games for a while now. But I think that with the release of the SHIELD Helicarrier it might be the first time they've been put to use in a regularly released set.  I'm sure some other Legophiles out there can confirm or refute this.

Like I posted before with my look at the Jumbo minifigures, having a smaller scale minifigure also makes sense, especially with a large set like the Helicarrier where it would be prohibitively large to have it at the normal minifigure scale.

These don't look poseable, but I could be wrong on that too.  It'll be interesting to see what kind of collectablility this guys have.  As a big fan of Ironman I wouldn't mind adding the Micro to my collection, but I doubt I'd pay the premium it'll cost coming only from such a large, expensive set.

Know your minifigures - Black Widow

Last one until the rest of the sets are reveled.
Black Widow gets new hair, body and head. Gone are the ginger eyebrows.  But don't worry she still has a scowl face too.

Better know you minifigures - Hawkeye

Continuing our look at the new versions of previous Marvel minifigures we have Hawkeye.  I read an interesting article the other day on how Hawkeye might become a much bigger player in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) after Avengers: Age of Ultron comes out.  He's also suppose to be making an appearance on Agents of SHIELD later this year.  To me he was always the weakest of the non-superpowered heroes in both the movies and comics.  I mean he shoots a bow and arrow and is going up against gods. At least Green Arrow tends to fight to his level.  But I digress.  Here we have a comparison from Hakweye's two minifigures. He was originally put in two sets from the original round of Avengers movie sets, 6867 and 6868, and we know he's in the new helicarrier set.

Completely different heads, body and hair. I think the bow is the same though.

Minifigure Spotlight Simpsons Series - Scratchy

I got to visit a Lego store down in Bellvue, Washington around New Years.  I picked up a couple great sets that will eventually be featured and they also had Simpsons blind packs on sale so I picked up a couple.  I didn't take time to feel out the contents, but since I only had one other figure from the series I figured it was worth a shot.  One of those figures was this great Scratchy minifigure.  I think Lego did a great job on these figures.  The head molds are fantastic.
