I've decided to try and work my way backwards and work out a rarity guide for all the Lego Minifigures by looking at box break downs. I've never opened a full box of minifigures so these are taken from others who have. Like always the terms used are only for measuring the frequency of minfigures per box.
Common = 6 per box
Uncommon = 4 per box
Rare = 2 per box
Series 10 also features a Super Ultra rare minifigure - Mr. Gold.
1. Librarian - Rare
2. Medusa - Rare
3. Roman Commander - Common
4. Warrior Woman - Uncommon
5. Tomahawk Warrior - Uncommon
6. Skydiver - Common
7. Bumblebee Girl - Rare
8. Grandpa - Rare
9. Paintballer - Uncommon
10. Sea Captain - Rare
11. Sad Clown - Uncommon
12. Revolutionary Soldier - Uncommon
13. Baseball Fielder - Common

Minifigure Spotlight Lego Movie - Wild West Wyldstyle
I was at the store last night and finally saw the new Lego Movie sets. I have to say while I'm not too overly excited about the sets, a couple look really cool. I'll probably go after a few of the cheaper sets to test them out. I was also happy to see that there were still a few boxes and packs of Lego Movie minifigures to be had. The boxes had been picked over pretty good since the first time I'd been there and picked up my first round, but I was able to pick up all but one of the remaining minifigures I needed for my set.
WyldStyle's here was part of the first round of minifigures I picked up. She has a few other versions spread throughout the Lego Movie sets, but his is the only place you get the Wild West themed WyldStyle. She's easy to find and with her block bottom. The only other minifigure you'd confuse her with is the Calamity Drone, but she comes with a rifle that's easy to feel for.
A few new Lego Marvel Super Heroes sets I'm excited for.
If you're a Lego Super Heroes fan like me I'm sure you've already seen all the new sets coming out in the early part of this year. The DC line as 3 new Batman sets, two of which are out. Lego has announce that there will be 5 new Marvel Super Heroes sets 3 of which will be Ultimate Spider-man themed. I find that unfortunate. Especially since it looks like there will be no variation in the Spider-man minifigure. The only Spider-man set I'm really looking forward to is the cheap one featuring Electro. And to add even more redundancy there's even a new Doc Ock set. Don't get me wrong I like the characters and the villain, but we've already had a medium size set that featured Doctor Octopus. And while it features a new version of the character is more true to the comic book, I think Lego could have drawn on some other characters. I'll feature them all in a closer look when they officially get release later this year.
The two Marvel sets I'm really excited about are the two Avenger themed ones. Especially the Captain America set. I missed picking up the old Captain America set. I kept seeing it on the shelves and passing it up for other sets. By the time I saw that it was going to be discontinued and went to try and find a set, they were all gone. And I definitely was not going to pay discontinued prices, so I'm glad to see that I still have chance to pick up a Captain America minifigure. And while I know that the figures are different, which is a good thing, I'm not too worried about it. Plus the Captain America vs Hydra set also features one of Cap's best foes, the Red Skull and a cool looking tank and Classic Hydra soldier!! I'll be all over this set. Plus this is a $20 set!! Perfect!

A Closer Look - 76012 - Batman: The Riddler Chase
Well the selves are still really bare in the Lego aisle up here in Alaska. I did see some fresh Lego Movie minifigures finally, but no movie sets and no new other 2014 sets. Lego has release it's first two new DC Super Heroes sets. Both Batman related. The one I'm most interested in is this set. Mainly because I'm slowly building my Justice League minifigure set. Previously you can get Superman (non-movie), Wonder Woman, Batman, and Aquaman. This set will let me add the Flash. Now here's hoping we get a Green Lantern and or Green Arrow soon.
I'm not sure how or why the Riddler came about a drag racer or why he seems to think that it's the best getaway vehicle, but you do get a pretty cool looking new Batmobile out of the set.
First up we get a new Batman with gray suit and black cape and cowl and lone black bat. It does look similar to previous versions, although the ones I've seen the belt is different. I think this is the 14th new Batman in the line and we get another new suit, the aqua suit in the upcoming Penguin release. The one that comes with the new Man-Bat set is a black suit, cape and cowl with the bat in the yellow oval. That one looks very similar to previously released minifigures, although I'm not an expert. I do like that Lego has realized the potential with it's Batman figures and the different variations of suits. Now if they would just do that more with Ironman.
Of course the highlight of this set for me will be getting an official Flash minifigure. I'm not sure if this Flash is suppose to be Barry Allen or Wally West, but it's still the classic Flash.
I'm a big fan of the comic book villians too. A hero is only as good as his rogues gallery. And while the Riddler is far from my favorite Batman villian this is a new version.
I'll have a full review and photos of the build when I get this one in my grubby little hands.

Minifigure Spotlight - Lego Movie - Marsha Marsha Marsha Queen of the Mermaids
I found some fresh Lego Movie Minifigure boxes down at the local Fred Meyers yesterday. I managed to pull about half the set in the first go. I didn't want to buy too many before I could give the poster a good look and figure out what I need to feel for to find the rest.
My favorite out of the bunch has to be Marsha Queen of the Mermaids. She fits right in with the Series 9 Mermaid and Series 7 Sea King.
She comes with a pink jewel and a clam. I'm sure these have significance in the movie, or not.

First two new DC Super Hero Sets available at Lego.com
Haven't seen this posted anywhere yet, but the first two new DC Super Heroes sets are available at Lego.com
I'll take a closer look at these later when I have time.
Lego Movie Minifigure rarity guide
Thought I'd offer another handy dandy rarity guide for the newest Lego minifigure offering since my Series 11 post was very popular. I'm not sure if Lego is counting this as it's 12 Series or not. It's labeled as The Lego Movie and I guess we can assume that Series 13 will be just labeled as The Simpsons. But until I hear otherwise that Lego will continue it's series count with 12 after the Simpsons are done I'm going to keep referring to this set as Series 12 The Lego Movie.
Alright so for clarity I rate the figures as follows
Common - 6 per case
Uncommon - 4 per case
Rare - 2 Per case
After looking at a couple case breaks there is the run down for easy reference
Numbering is based on insert poster
1. Calamity Drone - Rare
2. President Business - Common
3 Emmett - Common
4. Wild West WyldStyle - Uncommon
5. Abe Lincoln - Uncommon
6. Mrs. Scratchenpost - Rare
7. Scribble Face Cop - Common
8. William Shakespeare - Rare
9. Gail the Construction Worker- Rare
10. Larry the Barista - Uncommon
11. Martha Staplebot - Rare
12. Taco Tuesday Guy - Uncommon
13. Where's my Pants Guy - Uncommon
14. Wiley Fusebot - Uncommon
15. Panda Guy - Common
16. Marsha Queen of the Mermaids - Rare
If you can find an unmolested case a few of the rare minis should be easy to find. The mermaid and Calmity Jane both have parts that should be easily identifiable.
Good luck.
