2015 Target Black Friday Exclusive 4 minifigure Lego Cubes

I'm late to the show as usual.  These cubes were available as a doorbuster for Black Friday at Target.  They retailed for $9.99 or were free with a qualified $50 purchase of Legos, which wouldn't be hard to hit at Target.  There were two cubes available each with 4 minifigures each.  Each cube had a Ninjago, Legends of Chima, DC Superheroes and a City themed Minifigures with gray stands.

 In this box you got:

 Ninjago Lloyd in Dragon Outfit
 Chima Lavertus in Fire Outfit
 City Swamp Police Sheriff

DC Comics Superboy

In the other box you got:

DC Comics  Lightening Lad

 Kai

 Sir Fangar

Scuba Diver
Not a bad deal as a buy alone or as a bonus.  These are selling for double to triple the original price now.  The only two minifigures I'd care for are the DC Superheroes so probably won't be too hard to track down.

Dr Who!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was just surfing over at the Lego site and noticed they listed a new Dr. Who set in the Ideas section. Let's hope this is one of many to come.  Here's what you can expect when the set is released in early December.  A 623 piece set priced at $59.99.  You get 4 minifigures and 2 Dalek build figures.  The set features the TARDIS and the control room.  Here are some pictures and close up of the minifigures.

You get the Twelfth Doctor, played by Peter Capaldi.
The Eleventh Doctor, Matt Smith.
 Clara Oswald
A weeping Angel, I wonder if it has a nasty face too.
You also get two Daleks.  I'm not impressed  with their design.  They look clunky and poorly thought out.  The Character Building Daleks are a much better design. Let's hope if Lego decides to go full line with this they refine the character.   It also looks like the 12th Doctor is different then the one available in the Lego Dimensions Level Pack.

75827 Ghostbusters Firehouse Minifigures

If you haven't heard the news then you don't follow Lego on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, or read any other Legocentric blogs, but Lego has finally released images of the new Ghostbusters Headquaters/Firehouse set.  It's a huge set with 4,634 pieces and a hefty price tag of about $350.

Other blogs have already dissected the set pretty well so since this is a minifigure blog lets focus on the minifigures included with the set.

You get all four Ghostbusters.  They all appear to be the same as the ones you got with the Ecto-1 set except for Venkman which features a slimed variation.  Included in the set are all the other primary cast members and then some.

Dana Barrett

 Louis Tully
 Janine Melnitz
 The Zombie Cabdriver
 The Library Ghost
Slimer and blue and red ghosts.
The Slimer appears to be identical to the one featured in the Dimensions Fun Pack.  But at least there's no small Stay-Puft Marshmellow Man.

I was thinking of who else they could have included and came up with Walter Peck, the ConEd guy, a Terror Dog, maybe a couple police officers and the mayor.

Here's also hoping your Ecto-1 fits in the garage.

Are first taste of Dr. Who Lego style

These won't be available for a couple more months and who knows maybe Lego will release an actual Dr. Who set, but with their Dimensions game launching sometime this month, I think, we get two Dr. Who expansion packs to drool over.

The Level Pack features the 12th Doctor and a mini TARDIS and K9.  It would be fun to see if Lego does something similar to Character Building and puts out a set of all the Doctors.

The Fun Pack features a Cyberman and a Dalek.  The Cyberman looks really good, however the Dalek looks is terrible.  Lets hope if there are some actual sets the Dalek gets a little better design.

More Ghostbusters minifigs coming....sort of.

With the launch of Lego Dimensions only a month away or so there are some opportunities to added some great minifigures to certain sets even if they are a little pricey.  There are rumors of a new Ghostbusters set in the works, but in the mean time you have the opportunity to add a couple new figures to the set.
The level pack features Venkman and from what I can tell this is the same mini as the Ecto-1 set from the Ideas line. And at $29.99 probably worth just getting the Ecto-1 set.

But the two announced fun pack have two new minifigures that might be worth picking up.
At $14.99 a piece these are a little steep, but if you don't really plan on playing the game you could sell off the mini build and or the discs and just keep the Minifigures.
The Stay Puft Marshmellow man looks really good even if he's tiny.  But if your big Ghostbusters fan like myself these are on your radar for sure.  From what I can tell the minifigures are fully removable from the base.

I'll be featuring some other Lego Dimensions later specifically a certain time traveling doctor.
