As always the terms I use are my own for the sake of denoting the number of figures that come in each box. You can expect 3 full sets per box. All the names I used are from Lego's website.
Rare = 3
Uncommon = 4
Common = 5
Like always if your adept at feeling for figures you should have no problem picking most of these out of blind packs.
I'm late to the show as usual. These cubes were available as a doorbuster for Black Friday at Target. They retailed for $9.99 or were free with a qualified $50 purchase of Legos, which wouldn't be hard to hit at Target. There were two cubes available each with 4 minifigures each. Each cube had a Ninjago, Legends of Chima, DC Superheroes and a City themed Minifigures with gray stands.
In this box you got:
Ninjago Lloyd in Dragon Outfit
Chima Lavertus in Fire Outfit
City Swamp Police Sheriff
DC Comics Superboy
In the other box you got:
DC Comics Lightening Lad
Kai
Sir Fangar
Scuba Diver
Not a bad deal as a buy alone or as a bonus. These are selling for double to triple the original price now. The only two minifigures I'd care for are the DC Superheroes so probably won't be too hard to track down.
I just saw in my Facebook news feed Lego posted pics of 14 of the 16 new Series 13 Minifigures due out early next year. Of course with the German poster already floating around we know what all 16 will be, but here are the images I've captured. The only two missing are the Evil Wizard and the Disco Guy.
I think my favorite out of the bunch has to be the hotdog suit guy.
I have no idea if Lego is ever planning on putting out a Justice League themed set from the DC Super Heroes line. Right now everything is Batman related. But I just saw that March's Lego Promotion will be for this guy...
homana homana homana. That's the freaking Martian Manhunter and any fan the Justice League, especially the old school team, will know this guy. We are getting one step closer to having a full licensed Justice League minifigure set. Just need a Green Lantern and Green Arrow to show up, maybe a Black Canary. So far we've got a slew of Batman to choose from, one non-movie Superman, a Wonder Woman, Flash, and Aquaman. I'm going to start working on my JLA satellite right now!!
The wife and I are members of the Regal Cinema's Crown Club. She got an email the other day letting us know that the theaters would be offering a free exclusive minifigure with 3D ticket purchase of the Lego Movie. Regal's exclusive mini is the Pajamas Emmet. Which looks a lot like the Series 6 Sleeptime Guy. As a matter of fact it looks like the body is identical.
FBTB has reported that AMC will offer a Robot DJ exclusive and there is also an exclusive Wild West Emmet offered with the preorder of the Lego Movie video game. I'm sure there are other exclusives offered from some of the other big chain theaters and possibly from some smaller independant places too.
This guys comes by way of a 3 for 3 trade with Chris who runs the blogs Nachos Grande and Legends of Lego, both on my blog list to the right.
I do love a trade when I can pick up some of the older Series figures I need. The boxer is one of those that probably would have been very easy to pick out had I been able to find blind packs of these.
The hands are sculpted gloves and the headgear is pretty distinct.
The boxer also comes with a second face. This one is the after face.
Taco Tuesday Guy looks suspiciously like the Series 2 Sombrero guy. Although the hat is a different color and and so is the poncho.
The Taco Tuesday guy comes with a platter and two 1x1 flats that are either suppose to look like taco's or blocks of cheese. They look like cheese to me. The blocks go on the tray loose, so watch out.
He's a pretty easy guy to feel for in the blind packs. The hat and tray or unique and there's really no other minifigure you could mistake this guy for.
